Lure Fishing tackle heavyweights Rapala and Shimano have announced a new joint venture in Europe. They will soon be launching a new mid-priced predator range which will include Rods, Lures, hooks and braid. The name of the new brand will be Yasei which is the Japanese word for “wild”. We’re guessing that Shimano are taking the lead in the design and marketing of the brand otherwise it would have been called Villi which is the Finnish word for “wild” !

It looks like full details of the new products won’t be available until after the big Fishing tackle trade show EFTTEX which is being held in Spain in June. But if any details leak out, we’ll be sure to let you know!

Hello, i saw on http://www.willemstolk.com a review about some YASEI products. Looking good and also Willem Stolk is a very keen fisherman. He works for Shimano about 15 years. Also his website is very nice. So the products looks are profesional -and price seems to be very good.
